A sports team based in Wandsworth are inviting the community to a morning of reflection on Remembrance Day.
Doverhouse Lions and Roehampton Playing Fields Community Trust have teamed up to mark 100 years since the end of the World War 1. Working with local schools, the armistice and Armed Forces Communities Programme, 'There but no There,' they are hoping to encourage residents to come along to the fields.
They will also be collecting gifts for children with life limiting conditions for the Shooting Star Chase Christmas appeal.
The morning starts at 10:30 am with tea and coffee, there will be a two minute silence at 11:00am and 100 biodegradable red balloons will be released at 11:02 am.
