A pensioner who died following a collision with a lorry has been formally identified.
Police were called at around 9:40 am on Wednesday, November 7 to reports of an injured man on Werter Road, at the junction with Putney High Street.
Officers attended and found 82-year-old Roy Steggall, of Dyers Lane, Putney suffering from a head injury. Sadly, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police are now appealing for anyone who may have seen the incident to come forward with information.
Detective Constable Atiq Haque, from the Met’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: “Although we have already spoken to a number of witnesses, we believe there are more people who were in the area at the time the collision occurred.
“We are keen to hear from anyone who may have further information to call us on 020 8543 5157."
