Nelson Close in Walton-on-Thames
A block of flats in Walton-on-Thames was evacuated last night after a caller said a suspicious smell was making him feel unwell.
Police said they were called to an address in Nelson Close at around 6.10pm on November 26, following reports of a concern for safety.
A resident at a block of flats reported a suspicious smell and said that he was having difficulty breathing.
Fire crews were in attendance and a number of residents from the flats were evacuated as a precaution while the cause of the smell could be determined.
No other reports were received of anyone feeling unwell and no suspicious or harmful substances were found or identified.
