Five arrests have been made by police investigating a double shooting in Crystal Palace over Halloween in which two men suffered serious leg injuries.

Detectives are continuing to appeal for information about the shooting, which happened on Lunham Road on the evening of Wednesday October 31.

Officers were called shortly before 6pm to reports of a fight on Lunham Road, where they found two men, aged 24 and 25, each with a gunshot wound to the leg.

The men were rushed to hospital for treatment by ambulance staff who were first on the scene. Both have sustained life-changing injuries.

A woman also sustained a minor injury, a graze.

According to police, the suspects approached a group filming a music video, firing a number of shots.

Five men have been arrested in connection with the shooting:

- A 23-year-old man [A] was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence on Tuesday, 6 November and has been released under investigation.

- A 20-year-old man [B] was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence on Friday, 23 November. He was bailed to a date in late December.

- A 21-year-old man [C] was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence on Friday, 23 November. He was bailed to a date in late December.

- A 19-year-old man [D] was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence on Saturday, 3 November. He is released under investigation.

- A 21-year-old man [E] was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence on Wednesday, 5 December and has been released under investigation.

Officers from the Met’s Trident and Area Crime Command are leading the investigation and are keeping an open mind to the motive. One line of enquiry is that the attack may be gang-related.
