Police have release a picture of a man they wish to speak with following a fatal hit and run.

An investigation was launched after officers were called at 12.30am on Saturday, January 12 to Brixton Hill following reports that a pedestrian had been hit by a car.

The driver of the vehicle, which was travelling at speed, did not stop at the scene.

Officers attended with the London Ambulance Service and London's Air Ambulance but despite their best efforts, the pedestrian, a 24-year-old woman, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Next of kin have been informed.

Aaron Blackwood Jones, who is also known as Aaron Blackwood, 27, is now being sought by police. Jones has links to the Wandsworth, Lambeth and Wembley.

The release of his image comes after officers investigating the crash recovered the car, a blue VW Golf, they believed was involved in the incident - this was located in the Brixton area on

Sunday.

Anyone who knows the whereabouts of Aaron Blackwood Jones is asked to contact police on 101 and quote CAD 183/12Jan. For an immediate sighting dial 999.
