Video has captured the moment a man was taken away by police in handcuffs after being arrested in Wimbledon.

The footage, taken from the dashcam of a car, shows four police vehicles parked in Hardy Road yesterday (January 23) at about 12.30pm.

The video then shows two officers escorting a man away from a house while at least six others wait outside.

A spokesman for the Met said they arrested a man on suspicion of immigration offences.

"He was taken to a south London police station," the spokesman said.

"He was located with the assistance of the Dog Support Unit having discarded clothing and attempted to hide in residential gardens."
