A man arrested by police following a stabbing in Mitcham has been released.

Police were called at 12.35pm on January 30 to Crossways Road to reports of an altercation.

A 29-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm.

He was taken to a west London police station and has subsequently been released under investigation pending further enquiries.

Another man, aged in his 20s, was found in Tamworth Lane with a stab wound and was taken to hospital, his injuries are not deemed life-threatening or life-changing.
