Plans to build a huge technological hub in Battersea that could be as high as ten storeys have been approved.
A planning application was submitted a year ago to demolish the building in 6-10 Ingate Place.
This followed a decision by Wandsworth Council to sell the land to Developers 8-10 IPB UK Limited.
A month before the application was submitted, Andy Algar, assistant director of housing and regeneration’s property services at the council, said: “IPB’s proposed scheme involves the creation of a technological hub to serve as a platform for both local and international SME businesses with a focus on promoting collaborative workspace.

“It is thought the scheme will act as a catalyst for the regeneration of Ingate Place.”
When the plans were finally put through, they reflected Mr Algar's thoughts.
"The proposal for the site is to create a technological hub that serves as a platform for both local and international SME business's with a focus on promoting collaborative workspace," the plans read.
"This will entail the demolition of existing buildings on site and construction of 1 new building ranging from six to ten storeys in height comprising of office space."
One of the conditions of the approval means that work will have to begin within three years.
