Today is World Book Day and we hope that all the kids in SE London have dressed up.

Now in it's 22nd year, World Book Day is a celebration of words and the chance to get every single child a book of their own.

They are a registered charity and the day is now marked in over 100 countries across the world.

The main aim of World Book Day in the UK and Ireland is to encourage children to explore the pleasures of books and reading by providing them with the opportunity to have a book of their own.

Children are encouraged to dress up as their favourite character from their favourite book, whether that been Matilda or Horrid Henry.
