A trial date has been set for two men arrested following a shooting in December last year.

Brooklyn McFarlane, 23 and Abdirahman Mohomad Omar, 23, both of St John’s Drive, Wandsworth were charged on December 4 with conspiracy to commit robbery.

This came after armed police foiled a robbery of a cash van in Lacock Close the day before.

During the incident, two police officers fired gunshots, hitting one of the suspects.

Both McFarlane and Omar then appeared at Kingston Crown Court on December 21.

McFarlane was bailed, and Omar was remanded in custody to appear at the same court on January 11.

Police have now revealed that a provisional trial date has been set for May 20, where both defendants' cases are expected to be heard at the same time.
