A man has been charged with the murder of a woman whose body was found in a block of flats in Battersea.
Kristian Smith, 41, of no fixed abode, has been charged by police with murder, fraud and preventing a lawful burial.
He will appear in custody at Wimbledon Magistrates’ Court today (March 15).
Officers were called to reports of concern for a person’s welfare, at around 6.40pm in Este Road on March 7, before discovering the body of Antoinette Donnegan in a flat.
Scotland Yard said her cause of death remains “unknown” at this stage after a post-mortem examination held two days later returned as inconclusive.
Her next of kin have been informed and a second post-mortem examination is set to take place in due course.
Mr Smith was arrested on March 13 on suspicion of murder before being charged.
