Surrey Police are appealing for information after a house on the Fairmile Estate in Cobham was burgled last week.

On Thursday, March 21, between 7.45pm and 9pm a house on the Fairmile Estate was burgled "while the occupants were at home", police said.

Surrey Police added that a forced entry has taken place to facilitate the burglary.

Surrey Police said: "The intruders forced entry through a ground floor window, searched the house and stole a number of items.

"Have you been sold or gifted the following objects?

• Solid gold coins

• Red Nikon D3200 DSLR

• Gold diamond ring

• Diamond and emerald ring

• Gold lizard brooch

"Officers investigating the incident want to hear from anyone who might have information on the burglary itself or know anything about the stolen items."

The appeal followed an announcement by Surrey Police last week (March 22) that they had stepped up patrols in certain areas of the county following reports of a 'spate' of burglaries in the region.

Surrey Police confirmed last week that there had been increase in reported incidents since last autumn and would be focussing efforts on “hotspot areas”.
