Four fire engines and about 25 firefighters were called to a Wimbledon fire earlier today.
The LFB was called at 11.39am to Springfield Road and the fire was under control at 12.50pm after crews from Mitcham, Battersea, Wimbledon and New Malden stations attended.
Part of the basement of the semi-detached house was damaged by the fire.
One woman left the property before the LFB arrived.
The cause of the fire is believed to be accidental and due to a fault in an extractor fan.
