A man has been charged with murder in relation to the fatal stabbing in Clapham last week.
Zion Chiata, 18, from Battersea, was charged yesterday with murder and possession of a weapon. He was arrested earlier that day.
An investigation was launched after police were called to reports of a man with stab injuries on Clapham Road, near Clapham Common station, at around 2.30pm on Friday March 29.
The 40-year-old victim, named Gavin Garraway, from Lambeth, died at the scene. A post-mortem examination in Greenwich confirmed the cause of death as a stab wound.
Two other men, aged 14 and 19, were arrested yesterday on suspicion of murder. Both have been released under investigation.
Mr Chiata will appear in custody at a magistrates' court today.
Detectives from the Homicide and Major Crime Command continue make enquiries.
