A police officer was viciously bitten on his wrist after two men were arrested for criminal damage in Deptford.
The Violent Crime Task Force officer was attacked after one of the men was arrested.
Lewisham MPS tweeted today: "VCTF officer received this horrific injury after two males had been arrested for criminal damage in SE8.
"Upon arrest one of the males decided to bite an officer on the arm. Male in custody and further arrested for assault on an emergency worker."

Police confirmed the officer was "rushed to St Thomas’ Hospital" and is now on the mend after receiving treatment.
