A performing arts college has put forward plans for new classrooms and a rehearsal space at its Sidcup campus.
Rose Bruford College submitted plans this week for extra classrooms and more space for performers to rehearse their shows.
The college has put forward a scheme for two new buildings next to the main building, and says it will employ a new member of staff once it is built.
According to planning statements: “Both buildings are
proposed to be sited to the south of the detached ‘Bru Bar’ located centrally within the site.
“It is anticipated that these buildings will be used as dance studios and rehearsal rooms for the benefit of the students of the college.”
Rose Bruford has 15 courses available and students from over 40 different countries currently attending.
Notable alumni from “London’s international drama school of theatre and performance” include Oscar winner Gary Oldman, Stephen Graham as seen in Line of Duty and Kerry Godliman, who featured in Ricky Gervais’ Netflix show Afterlife.
Plans for the new classrooms are currently with planners at the council. A decision is expected in the coming months.
