Detectives seeking to locate the mother of a new-born baby who was found outside the main entrance of Darent Valley Hospital have released details of a vehicle they wish to trace.

Kent Police is continuing to appeal for information to establish the mother’s identity and to check on her wellbeing, after the baby was located at around 3.15am on Friday May 24.

Police have said that the infant is safe, uninjured and being well supported by hospital staff.

Enquiries are ongoing and officers are now looking to identity a dark, four door saloon style vehicle, which may lead to important information.

Motorists with dashcam fitted to their vehicles and who were in the vicinity of the hospital between 2:30am and 3.30am, are being urged to check footage and contact Kent Police if they can assist with the investigation.
