Police are appealing for information after an intruder entered a man’s East Putney home and stole his £25,000 watch from his wrist.
Officers were called at 11.40pm on May 24 after the victim, a 52-year-old man, was standing in his bedroom at his home in Gwendolen Avenue when he was approached by the suspect who began threatening him.
The man then took the watch from the victim’s wrist before fleeing the scene. The victim was not injured.
He is described as a white man, aged between 25-40, and of slim build. He had his face covered with a skull and cross bone bandana, and was wearing a black hat, black jeans, black top and trainers.
The ordeal occurred while the victim’s partner, a 48-year-old woman, was also at home, with her teenage daughter. Neither of them were approached by the suspect.
It is believed he may have entered and left the premises through a window.
The stolen watch is a Chopard LUC 18ct white gold Limited Edition strap watch, number 298 of 1860. It has a black face and black crocodile strap and is valued at around £25,000.
Police are urging jewellers and watch collectors to keep an eye out for the stolen item and to contact officers immediately if it is offered for sale.
No suspect has been identified and enquiries are ongoing.
