Detectives investigating the fatal stabbing of an 18-year-old man in Wandsworth have made another arrest.

A 20-year-old man was arrested this morning on suspicion of murder and has been taken to a west London police station for questioning.

Previously two people have been charged with the teenager's murder.

A 17-year-old boy, from Merton and Mohammed Nadir Dafallah, 18, of Wandsworth were charged on Sunday with the murder of the 18-year-old who has been named in reports as Cheyon Evans.

They will appear in custody at Wimbledon Magistrates’ Court later today.

Four other people – aged between 16 and 19 years old – have been released under investigation.

An incident room is open under the Homicide and Major Crime Command and enquiries continue.

A post-mortem examination took place at St George’s Hospital on Sunday and gave the cause of death as a single stab wound.

Officers from the South West Command Unit will continue to patrol the area and will be on hand to speak with local residents as the investigation continues.
