A new community emerging in Tadworth held a midsummer fair at Tadworth Gardens last weekend.
Tadworth Gardens is a new housing development in progress by developers London Square, featuring a new village green and collection of new houses and apartments in 14 acres, backing on to Burgh Heath.
Over the weekend, London Square helped host a fete in tandem with 2019's Summer Solstice on June 21.
People who recently moved into their new homes and residents already established in the area enjoyed the Helter Skelter, jugglers, street theatre, barbecue and demonstration with birds of prey.
Borough residents Macy Ann Clarke, age 6, and Cleo Grace Clarke, age 2, took a particular interest in one of the owl's who attended the midsummer fair (pictured).
Rebecca Littler, director of London Square, said: "Summer fairs are a great tradition in Surrey and we had great fun declaring our new village green open and celebrating with the local community."
