A man has been arrested after a prisoner was stabbed in the chest.
Police were called by the London Ambulance Service at 3.10pm on June 27 to HMP Prison Wandsworth following reports of an inmate having been attacked.
The victim, a 39-year-old man, was taken to hospital. He sustained superficial injuries to his head and a puncture wound to his chest.
His injuries have been confirmed as not life threatening.
Detectives investigating the stabbing have since arrested a 29-year-old man on suspicion of wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
He has been released under investigation and police said that enquiries are ongoing.
