A woman has suffered serious injuries after being hit by a car yesterday evening.
Police were called at 5.52pm to reports that a white Mercedes had collided with a female pedestrian on Banstead Road at the junctions with Harrow Road and Hill Road in Carshalton
Officers, the London Ambulance Service and London’s Air Ambulance attended.
The 24-year-old pedestrian was taken to an east London hospital suffering from serious injuries. Her family has been informed.
The driver of the car stopped and the scene. There have been no arrests.
The Roads and Transport Policing Command is investigating.
