A stunned Sidcup woman has recounted the terrifying moment her friend was allegedly stabbed in the chest with a screwdriver as a violent moped thug attempted to steal his car.

Kezi Ibrahim, 19, was sitting with her friend in Danson Park carpark on Tuesday, August 6, when she spotted two moped drivers "doing wheelies" nearby

After ten minutes, one moped rider then reportedly approached her friend's window and demanded he hand over his car keys.

According to Ms Ibrahim, the mysterious rider became aggressive after her friend refused to hand over the keys and began lunging at him with the hand tool.

"The boy then pulled out a screwdriver and stabbed him my friend in the chest and hand.

"However only skin came off and he wasn’t injured other than that," she said.

After the alleged assault, the moped rider gave back the car keys after claiming that the driver wasn't the person he was looking for and the he should count himself "lucky".

"In that moment I thought that we were going to die," said Ms Ibrahim.

"I was terrified, especially considering it came out of nowhere and we weren't doing anything wrong.

Speaking to News Shopper, the shaken teen said she was thankful her friend avoided getting seriously hurt and that things could have been much worse for the pair.

"I'm just glad it was a screwdriver, not a knife.

"I am still a bit in shock right now, it doesn’t feel real.

"In that moment I thought that we were going to die," she said.
