Two further arrests have by police investigating the hit-and-run killing of a young man in Chessington.

Liam Dent, 25, was run over and dragged under a car for some distance on Moor Lane shortly after midnight on Friday, July 26. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Yesterday a 19-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder, and a 17-year-old girl on suspicion of assisting an offender.

On August 1, Surrey police arrested a 17-year-old man on suspicion of murder on behalf of the Met, who has since been bailed to a date in September.

A 22-year-old was also arrested under the same charge in Epsom one week later, released on bail until September.

A post-mortem examination held at Kingston Mortuary on July 27 established the cause of death as injuries consistent with being run over.

The car believed to have been involved, a Ford S Max, was found burnt out on Cyclamen Way in Epsom, around one mile from the crime scene.

Since then a further two related vehicles have been recovered.
