Epsom Medical Equipment Fund (EMEF) are set to benefit from an antiques valuation event in Stoneleigh next month.

The event is being staged by Newland Antiques at the Station pub in Stoneleigh on September 19.

It will see antique experts from Newland evaluate and offer cash for any items the attendees bring along.

Organisers said that all the fees from the £2 entrance price for each item appraised by the experts would go to EMEF.

"Purchase with immediate cash. Bring along your valuables and you may be delighted by the cash offer.

"Gold at the moment is at an all time high!" a spokesperson for EMEF pointed out, encouraging residents to bring their antiques along.

EMEF was founded in 1979 by legendary Epsom campaigner Bess Harding.

Since then she and her team have helped raise over an estimated £5million for essential medical equipment in the borough.

The event is taking place on Thursday, September 19, between 10am-3pm at The Station, Stoneleigh Broadway
