TWO talented gymnasts are facing a race against time to raise funds to travel to Mexico after becoming the only Scots to be selected for a major overseas tournament.
Brenna Cruickshank, 17 and Mia Costello, 14, from East Kilbride Gymnastics Club have been chosen to compete with Team GB at the Pan America Acrobatic Cup in November in the 12-18 Women’s Pairs.
However, as Acrobatic Gymnastics is not an Olympic sport funding is limited, so the girls and their coach have to fund themselves at a cost of around £1500 each
Lynda Hogg, who set up the Justgiving page said: “The girls are extremely dedicated.
“Please give what you can to send these girls and their coaches to Mexico for this competition, where hopefully they can bring back a medal.”
