AIRBNB has removed a Glasgow flat listing after the Evening Times alerted the short-term letting site that the owner has been banned from operating by the council over complaints.
Businessman Ahmed Boutoubane has been issued with two enforcements notices for the four-bedroomed flat at 15 Victoria Road following neighbour and guest complaints.
They centre on the frequency of lets, anti-social behaviour and poor management of bookings.

While council regulations actually forbid short-term lets at a flat which has a communal close entrance, enforcement action is ‘complaints led’ which means most owners are free to operate if they do so responsibly and don’t attract complaints.
A spokeswoman for Airbnb said: “When we are made aware of issues, we investigate and take appropriate action. The listing is no longer available on our platform.
“We want to help our hosts and guests to be good neighbours, which is why we ask all hosts to certify that they have permission to list their space and to check and follow local rules.”
