Marks & Spencer have shared some eye-opening historical photos following the re-opening of its Battersea store.
The shop in St John's Hill has traded in St John's Hill since 1914, but closed in April this year to undergo a refurbishment.
Store manager Jo Erskine said the team had been working hard towards the unveiling.
The re-opening of the store
"In the redesign we’ve protected the store’s rich history, with some amazing restorations to stand proudly against our colourful range of fresh and seasonal products," he said.
"With a refreshed look and new shopping experiences to enjoy, M&S Food SW11 offers the brilliant value and quality of the full M&S Food range."
That history he spoke of was put into context, with the supermarket sharing some photos from more than 50 years ago.

The chain added that during construction the M&S store development team uncovered some wonderful original architectural features which have now been restored to their former glory.
These include cast-iron columns and a striking red brick feature wall.
