Newly developed Sutton wedding venue Russettings will be hosting an afternoon tea event to raise money for Cheam-based St Raphael’s Hospice.

The event is set to be held at the Worcester Road venue, which is also home to Sutton Registry Office, on Saturday, September 28, from 2pm until 5pm.

Tea, coffee, biscuits, and cakes will be provided during a session offering live music and other forms of entertainment – with a raffle also set to take place.

A spokesman said: “All money raised will be donated to St Raphael's Hospice, your local hospice for Sutton & Merton.

“Over 1,000 patients and those close to them benefit from the exceptional hospice care every year.

“Russettings is very excited to be hosting this event and hope to raise as much money as possible to support St Raphaels.”

The Hospice needs £6 million a year to run, relying heavily on public donations.

The event will be held in the Garden Room which overlooks the venue’s stunning garden and patio.

If you wish to get involved book your tickets on St Raphael’s website, www.straphaels.org.uk, and head to the events page where all the details will be on display.

The tickets will cost just £12.50 per person (plus a booking fee) and includes a ticket to the raffle.
