A Wandsworth family photographer made the shortlist in an international competition.
Kirsty Hamilton's atmospheric image of a mother cradling her newborn son is one of 13 photos shortlisted in the Being Mum category of the Photobox Instagram Photography Awards.
More than 100,000 entries were received across ten categories for the £5,000 top prize in the photography competition, which is in its second year.

Mrs Hamilton said: "I'm absolutely thrilled to have reached the final of such a fantastic competition.
"As a mother of two small children I know just how surreal and life-changing those first few weeks with your new baby can be.
"I came across the PIPA competition on Instragram and I loved that they were looking for photographs celebrating motherhood.
"I entered on a whim and I am so thrilled that after years of throwing everything I have into perfecting my craft to have been shortlisted for this award."
Rory Scott from Photobox added: "It is amazing how the awards have captured the imagination of photography fans up and down the country, in Europe and beyond.
"The standard is again extraordinarily high."
Winners will be announced at an awards ceremony in Central London on October 10.
