A Greenwich man has been charged with the rape and robbery of a woman at Gallions Park last Friday.
Desmond Atumkeze, 22, was arrested on suspicion of rape and robbery on Monday, 11 November.
The Greenwich man was suspected of committing the two offences at Gallions Park, SE28 on Friday, November 8 between 20:30 and 21:00.
Atumkeze was charged on November 12 with both offences, and appeared at Bexley Magistrates Court earlier today (November 13) where he was remanded in custody.
He will now appear at Woolwich Crown Court on Wednesday, December 11.
