Around four fire engines and 25 Firefighters were called to a house in East Sheen this morning following reports of a house fire.
Fire crews from Richmond, Wandsworth, Chiswick and Kingston fire stations arrived at the scene in South Worple Way at around 10.14am and put the fire out by 11.22am.
People on social media said they had seen smoke in the road and one user said they dialled 999 as nobody appeared to be home.
A London Fire Brigade spokesman confirmed that half of the first floor of the terraced house was destroyed in the fire.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
