A 28-year-old man has been arrested by counter-terrorism police in south London.
He was arrested on Wednesday on suspicion of being a member of a banned organisation,contrary to Section 11 of the Terrorism Act 2000 by detectives from the Met’s Counter Terrorism Command.
He was detained under the Police and Criminal Evidence Act and taken into custody at a south London police station where he currently remains.
A police search of an address in north-west London has been completed and the investigation continues.
