Four men have been arrested following another police disruption operation at Woolwich Arsenal and Lewisham stations.
Police officers from the South East Basic Command Unit joined forces with the British Transport Police on Monday, December 9, for the joint Operation Hunda and Operation Viking.
Two men were arrested at both stations, including one adult male at Woolwich Arsenal who assaulted an emergency worker and was found to be in possession of a knife.
An adult male was arrested at Lewisham station for being wanted on warrant and for theft, whilst a juvenile male was arrested for possession of drugs, criminal property in the form of money laundering, and fare evasion.
The fourth male was arrested at Woolwich Arsenal station for being wanted on warrant.
The operation was overseen by Chief Constable Paul Crowther of the British Transport Police and Chief Inspector Chattenton of neighbourhood policing for the Metropolitan Police Service.
This is the third such operation in so many weeks, with police arresting four people in Woolwich Arsenal station on 2 December, and five arrested the week prior at New Cross Gate and Hither Green stations.
