A Welling care home which specialises in around the clock care, providing support for older people and those living with dementia has been praised by CQC.
The Care Quality Commission (CQC) has measured the Riverdale Court Care as an overall ‘Good’ for its safe, effective, caring and responsive home and appraised the level of leadership as outstanding.
The residential home has gone from strength to strength, winning 1st prize for the dementia care award at the Markel 3rd Sector awards last week.
Home manager, Nicolas Kee Mew, was commended for introducing new sensory activities and technology whilst ensuring the personalisation of care.
The CQC report stated: “The home is well-led, and residents always appeared relaxed and happy during interactions with staff and their individual needs were being met.”
One relative told an inspector “The attitude of the staff is clear for everyone to see; they care for their residents and have their best interest at heart."
Mayor of Bexley and MP James Brokenshire who was re-elected today was amongst guests at the home's recent Christmas fair.
