An 18-year-old from Roehampton was charged with firearm offences after he was found carrying a sawn-off shotgun and ammunition.
Shakeer Bentamoune-Wilson, 18, from Roehampton was charged with possession of a prohibited weapon with intent to endanger life, possession of ammunition with intent to endanger life, and possession of herbal cannabis.
He was travelling in a taxi at around last Wednesday (April 8) when police stopped it on York Road SW11.
They subsequently "found him to be in possession of a plastic bag containing a sawn-off shot gun and cartridges."
"He was arrested and taken into custody at a south London police station where he was subsequently charged as above," police said.
