Arif Biomy, 19 - Life imprisonment

Wandsworth Times:

Greenwich man Arif Biomy was found guilty in February of murdering 16-year-old Alex Smith in Camden in August 2019.

The attack was part of an "ongoing feud," with Biomy was one of six members of a rival gang driving around the Fitzrovia and Euston Road area in stolen cars looking for rivals to attack.

"It was clear that Biomy, although he never left the stolen Seat Leon, was a key member of the group who killed Alex," the Met said.

Biomy, of Wickham Lane, was sentenced to life imprisonment, serving a minimum of 21 years.

Daniel Grogan, 21 - Minimum of 21 years

Wandsworth Times:

In a sensation case, Daniel was one of eight people given sentences over the brutal attack and killing of Jay Sewell in Lewisham in December 2018.

Police determined that Grogan had murdered his 18-year-old love rival using the help of his parents, cousins and friends.

Grogan, of Sibthorpe Road in Eltham, was reportedly "consumed with hatred and jealousy" after finding out Mr Sewell had been seeing his ex-girlfriend.

Daniel's mother, Anne, and father, Robert, were both sentenced for manslaughter along with other offences, whilst his cousin, sister and two friends were also involved in the murder plot.

The group, armed with knives, hammers, wood and an axe, "brutally ambushed" Mr Sewell in Lee and stabbed him to death.

Jerome Bailey, 38 - Convicted

Wandsworth Times:

Jerome Bailey was found guilty of murdering his cousin following a two-week trial at Croydon Crown Court in January.

The 38-year-old of Victor Road in Teddington fatally stabbed cousin Tesfa Campbell of Croydon in the early hours of July 3, 2019, in Battersea.

DCI Simon Harding said about the case: “This is undoubtedly a tragic incident that will have a long lasting impact on Tesfa’s family and friends.

"The nature of this incident is deeply shocking and I hope that this (guilty) verdict goes some way to help them begin to a close this sad chapter.

"Unfortunately, we are still no clearer to knowing why a meeting between the two cousins has ended with Tesfa losing his life at the hands of another family member."

Kevin Lusala, 23 - Minimum of 30 years

Wandsworth Times:

The Orpington robber was convicted of stabbing a young man to death after he was lured into a "honey trap" in Anerley through Snapchat.

Ayodeji Azeez, 22, from Dagenham, was targeted in November 2018 after "proudly" posing on social media with his new BMW car.

A 17-year-old girl, who was spared jail, had ensnared him on Snapchat under the direction of Kevin Lusala, 23, known as Krimbo, and arranged to meet him in Anerley.

She wore shorts and gave her innocent victim a hug before directing him towards a car park, where Lusala and another robber were lying in wait to ambush him.

When he tried to resist the robbery, Lusala stabbed Mr Azeez 16 times with a large knife.

The judge handed Lusala a life sentence with a minimum term of 30 years in jail for murder and 12 years for the plot to rob Mr Azeez, to run concurrently.

Juskauskiene, 35, of Iron Mill Lane, had been in contact with her ex-husband and new lover in the hours leading up to the murder, and was "key in orchestrating the fatal meeting", according to police.

The fatal attack took place on in Whalebone Lane, and emergency services were called after a witness found Giedrius lying on the floor bleeding from the neck, but still breathing.

A post-mortem examination established that Giedrius had at least 35 separate stab wounds to his body, chest and neck.
