Police investigating a disturbing incident which involved two teenage girls being inappropriately touched by a man in Dartford have released CCTV images of a person they are keen to speak to.

The two girls were twice approached by a man in Highfield Road, Dartford, on Monday, July 6, and were touched inappropriately on both occasions.

The incidents took place around 8:30am and 9:30am, and newly released CCTV footage has led police to identify the man pictured above.

Detectives believe the person in the pictures may have important information that will help them investigate the reports, and are pleading with anyone else with information or dashcam footage to get in touch.

Kent Police have also said in a statement that protecting children is top priority for officers, and that they have increased patrol in the area as a result of the two incidents.

Detective Chief Inspector Kaye Braybrook said: "We are following several lines of enquiry and have identified a man from CCTV images who may have important information. I encourage him, or anyone who recognises him, to get in contact with us.

"Likewise, anyone travelling in Highfield Road between 8am and 10am may have captured some dash cam footage that could help with our investigation.

"It may not be immediately clear from the footage that an offence has taken place but, if upon reviewing it a motorist thinks they have something that captures the man in the images, we would like to obtain it."

Anyone with information is asked to call Kent Police on 01474 366149 quoting 46/115531/20.
