The RSPCA have launched an information appeal after a person allegedly beat a dog on Wandsworth Road recently.

Screenshots seen by the Wandsworth Times and distributed by the animal protection charity purport to show a woman linked to reports of a dog being hit repeatedly on Wandsworth Road.

The incident happened on June 24, around 7.30pm.

Footage shows the woman, wearing a yellow top and short black leggings, walking a husky dog under a bridge on Wandsworth Road.

The RSPCA said that the video was linked to reports they had received from multiple members of the public of a dog being hit multiple times on the day in question.

A spokesperson for the RSPCA offered further details of the incident as they appealed to the public for more information about what happened:

RSPCA Inspector Harriet Daliday said: “We’d really like to speak to the woman seen in the image who was walking a dog in the Wandsworth Road area on June 24 at around 7.30pm.

"We believe she may hold vital information in connection with an incident which has been reported to us relating to a dog being hit a number of times.

“If anyone recognises the woman - who is white, aged in her 50’s has mousey brown hair and was wearing short black leggings and an orange/yellow top and black trainers - or the husky type dog then we’d ask them to call us on 0300 123 8018."
