One of the drivers of a two-vehicle crash in Weybridge yesterday (August 6) fled the scene while the other driver was rushed to hospital with serious injuries.
That's according to Surrey Police, who are investigating the crash.
Police said the incident happened on Byfleet Road in Weybridge shortly before they were called around 4.30pm on Thursday.
Despite "extensive searches" in the surrounding area, police said they were unable to locate the driver of one of the two vehicles involved after he fled the scene.
A spokesperson for Surrey Police said on Thursday evening:
"He is described as a white man, around 6ft tall and wasn’t wearing a top at the time of the incident.
"We believe he may have an Injury to his face.
"The occupant of the second car involved received serious injuries and is being treated in hospital."
Police are now appealing for witnesses as they continue to investigate the case.
