A man in his 20s has been taken to hospital after being stabbed in Putney earlier today.
Police have authorised a Section 60 stop and search order across the borough of Wandsworth for the next 24 hours following the stabbing.
Met Police say they were called alongside the London Ambulance Service at around 4:15pm today, September 7, to reports of a man with stab injuries.
Officers attended Gwendolen Avenue, Putney, SW15, and a man in his 20s was taken to hospital for treatment.
Met Police added that he has now been discharged without life-threatening injuries.
Enquiries into the circumstances surrounding the incident continue, and no arrests have yet been made.
The Section 60, which gives police the right to search anyone in a defined area without any justification or suspicion, is in place across Wandsworth until 8:15am Tuesday morning.
