A bench in memory of a gay barman who was beaten to death in a homophobic attack has been repainted in line with National Hate Crime Awareness Week.
Jody Dobrowski was just 24-years-old when he was brutally murdered in an attack so horrific, he could only be identified by his fingerprints.
Mr Dobrowski was walking across Clapham Common when he was beaten to death on 14 October 2005.
His death caused heartbreak across the community which fundraised £1000 to pay for a bench and a further £1,700 for the 17-24-30 No to Hate Crime Campaign, back in 2012.
Previously speaking to Wandsworth Times, David Dandridge, one of the fundraisers, said: "It was thought there should be a permanent memorial to Jody.
"What we wanted to do is raise awareness so people would actually contact police about hate crime.
"It is important to raise awareness that hate crime exists."

Now, 15-years on, the bench has been restored to its former beauty to honour his memory.
LGBT advisors at Metropolitan Police led the tribute on October 20:
