Pets at Home opened the doors of its new pet care centre in Putney this weekend, which offers a grooming salon, in-store services and pet care advice.

The Upper Richmond Rd store features a service desk information area where pet owners can receive flea and worm subscription advice, and also book in for a free pet food consultation with a trained nutrition advisor.

They advise on the best food for their pet’s life stage, plus a free weight check and a coat and harness fitting service for dogs.

A Groom Room salon is also opening within the store, offering full body styling, spa upgrades, puppy grooming, bath, brush and blow-dry, or a simple nail clip. Open seven days a week, customers can book salon appointments online.

The centre will also be home to a small animal Pet Village and an Aquatics Centre with room for pets to play, hide, eat and sleep.

Store Manager, Bart Kemal, said:

“We are so excited to open the doors to our new high-street pet care centre and can’t wait to welcome our customers and their pets from the local Putney community into store. The store offers everything a customer might need to keep their pets happy, healthy and safe.”

This month, the Pets at Home Christmas range will be on display, which offers gifts for cats, dogs and small animals - as a show of gratitude to the furry friends that kept them company in 2020.

Pet owners in Putney can keep up to date with the latest store news and local pet charity updates at the store’s Facebook page.
