A teenager had his electric scooter taken after he was threatened at knife point in a park. 

The victim had been sat on a set of swings when they were approached by a man who charged at them while holding a knife. 

The suspect then grabbed the victim's electric scooter and left the area.

The incident happened in King George's Field, off Blackshots Lane, Grays around 4.30pm on Thursday, February 11.

The victim was at a set of swings between Bevan House and Morrison House.

The suspect is described as white, was wearing all dark clothing and came from the Jesmond Road direction.

A police spokesman said: "We believe he fled in the same direction.

"No arrests have been made and our enquiries are ongoing.

"We would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident or has information on it."
