Detectives are appealing for witnesses to come forward after a teenager was shot in Lambeth.

A 17-year-old male was rushed to hospital where he remains in a serious but stable condition after sustaining a gunshot wound.

Officers were called to Blacktree Mews, SW9 at around 9:45pm on Friday, 5 March following reports that a person had been shot.

A 17-year-old male who had sustained a gunshot wound was transported to a south London hospital by the London Ambulance Service where he remains in a serious but stable condition.

Police believe that the shooting took place nearby at the junction of St James Crescent and Fyfield Road, SW9 at 21:36hrs.

An investigation was launched immediately after the incident, but so far no arrests have been made.

Detectives are appealing for the public's help and for anyone who was in the area at the time and might have witnessed the incident or anything suspicious to get in touch.
