Two teenagers have been arrested on suspicion of murder after a stuntman hired for a music video was stabbed to death outside a south London Tube station.

Shane Jerome, 23, was knifed to death outside Brixton station as shocked onlookers watched on.

Paramedics rushed to the scene just after 8pm last Wednesday (July 21) and found the victim suffering from a single stab wound to his chest.

Medics and members of the public helped battle to save his life and London’s Air Ambulance landed nearby, but despite their efforts Shane was pronounced dead at the scene around 25 minutes later.

An 18-year-old and a 17-year-old boy were arrested on suspicion of murder in the early hours of Thursday and are still being held in custody at a police station in south London.

A 19-year-old man was also arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm, but has since been released with no further action being taken by police.

Detective Chief Inspector Kate Blackburn, leading the investigation, said: "It has been just over a week since Shane tragically lost his life.

"These arrests mark significant progress with our investigation and I hope it brings some reassurance to both Shane's family and the wider community that my team are working around the clock to bring justice for his murder.

"I continue to urge anyone who was in the area and who may have seen anything, or have footage on their phone or dash cam, to please contact us.

"I am asking anyone with any information to call police."
