Transport for London has announced that parts of the Northern Line will be shut for over four months.

From January 15 to mid-May 2022 the Bank Branch of the Northern Line will be closed between Kennington and Moorgate

Seeing four stations no longer being part of the line for the four months, those are Bank, London Bridge, Borough, and Elephant & Castle.

Plus, the closures will see fewer Northern Line trains between Camden Town and Moorgate.

TFL has said that travelers should expect other lines and stations to be exceptionally busy.

They are advising people to travel at quieter times or use other networks including rail and bus services.

TFL has also put in place additional support to ease the pressure of the closed Northern Line.

Trains will run more frequently on the Charing Cross branch of the Northern line.

More buses will also be provided with a temporary new route from Oval into the city.

Plus, they plan to deploy more staff across the network to support customers.
