A 15-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of murder following the death of a 22-year-old man in Brixton who was stabbed.

On Tuesday (October 3) at around 4:44pm police were called to the scene, and found Keelen who had sustained a knife injury.

The victim has since been named as 22-year-old Keelen Morris Wong.

Ambulance crews also attended and Keelen died at the scene.

His next of kin have been informed and are being supported by officers from Met Police.

A 23-year-old man was arrested on Tuesday (October 3) on suspicion of murder.

He was taken to hospital for treatment and has since been discharged and currently remains in police custody.

On Thursday (October 5) a second arrest was made.

A 15-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of murder and possession of an offensive weapon and remains in police custody.

A spokesperson for Met Police said: “Detectives continue to investigate the murder of a 22-year-old man in Brixton.

“A 23-year-old man who was arrested on Tuesday, 3 October on suspicion of murder and taken to hospital for treatment has now been discharged and remains in police custody.

“A second arrest has also been made.

"A 15-year-old boy was arrested on Thursday, 5 October on suspicion of murder and possession of an offensive weapon – he remains in custody.

“An investigation was launched after police were called at 16:44hrs on Tuesday, 3 October to reports of a stabbing at Coldharbour Lane, Brixton.

 

“Officers and London Ambulance Service (LAS) attended.

 

“Despite their best efforts, Keelen Morris Wong, 22, was pronounced dead at the scene.

 

“His next of kin are aware and are being supported by specially trained officers.
