A person has been taken to hospital with life-changing injuries after an incident at a tube station in London.

A casualty on the tracks was reported at Gloucester Road underground station just before 11.15am today (June 6).

Police and London Ambulance Service crews were called to the scene and a person was found injured.

They were taken to hospital for treatment where their condition was assessed as life-changing.

The incident has caused the Circle line to be completely shut down with severe delays on the District line.

A spokesperson for British Transport Police said: "Officers were called to Gloucester Road underground station at around 11.13am today (6 June) following reports of a casualty on the tracks.

Paramedics also attended, and a person was taken to hospital with life-changing injuries.”
