First Celebrity Race Across the World contestant revealed

The first contestant taking part in the new series of Celebrity Race Across the World has been announced.

The second series of Celebrity Race Across the World aired on the BBC in 2024, with BBC Radio 2 presenter Scott Mills and husband Sam claiming victory.

Now, the hit reality show is set to return for a third series later this year.

The show sees the celebrities say goodbye to lavish transport, smartphones and bank cards and instead must rely on their skills, cunning and ingenuity as well as the kindness of strangers in the new series of the popular BBC reality series.

First contestant taking part in the new series of Celebrity Race Across the World revealed

Mills, on his BBC Radio 2 breakfast show this morning (Thursday, September 18), revealed the first pair that will be taking part in the third series of Race Across the World.

Dylan Llewellyn has appeared in a range of TV shows, including Derry Girls, Beyond Paradise, and Big Boys.

He will now appear in series three of Celebrity Race Across the World, with his mum Jackie, Mills revealed.

The celebrities are set to visit Central America in the new series, with Llwewellyn revealing the new series is set to begin in Mexico and conclude in Colombia (covering some 5,900km).

Describing their experience on the show, Llewellyn said: "It's like a whole whirlwind of emotions, and so many struggles and challenges. But also, I feel like you grow a lot as a person. I feel like I'm a better person after it."

"We were a great team, we helped each other a lot. We had each other's backs."

Series three of Celebrity Race Across the World will air on the BBC in "the autumn", Mills revealed.

The BBC Radio 2 presenter and former Celebrity Race Across the World winner added: "News on the rest of the lineup is coming very soon."
